“I respect and I agree with some of your choices Cat. But being a Filipino, a little commendation could have been given. I know you’re just being unbiased but also please bear in mind about things like morale and sensitivity especially this time.”
“Being honest doesn’t have to border the line of insensitivity✌️ The “Raise your flag” paradox.”
“Ok lang..palpak din naman natcos mo last time.pero nanalo ka support support nalang sana..love love ahahahha”
“Hahaha.
“Yes she is entitled to her own opinion but always remember, she is the former miss universe and she’s a Filipino. Alam nya naman na we are doing our best to support Rabiya.
“Some Filipinos still aren’t mature enough to shake off the “pakisama” culture. Just because we’re Filipinos doesn’t mean we always have to like everything that comes from the Philippines.”
“I dont like it either, i find it too flashy. But its just me and it doesnt mean that I dont love & support my country.”
“Just because she gave her unbiased top picks, doesnt mean she does not support Rabiya.”
“That is Cat’s unbiased opinion. Everyone should respect that! She is very supportive of Rabiya but it doesn’t mean that she still need to choose her as one of her top choices in NatCos because there were really amazing costumes from different countries! Lastly, NatCos doesn’t have any bearing for the Top 21, so just support Rabiya on the Preliminaries. Stop with the toxic mentality please”
“It’s her pick and opinion. Can we all just normalize the fact that we can have different preferences? Rabiya did well too. Wala bitaw bearing Nat Cos”
“Also, can people stop ATTACKING Catriona for not having the Philippines in her list???? It’s not mandatory or un-Filipino to be objective. Everyone has that right. It’s not like she’s being mean or hateful. Leave her alone!”
“Di ko magets bakit nagagalit kay cat talaga, bawal na ba magappreciate ng ibang bansa will that make you a less Filipino. Tsaka kita nyo ba behind the scenes, how sure are you that she didnt encourage rabiya?”
My best in National Costume picks are my favorite National Costumes, not based on the candidates performance. I love the celebration of culture and a country’s expression of identity which is why its one of my favorite segments!

20++ kgs but Rabiya Mateo carried it with such strength. If this is an insight to her level of performance, so excited for prelims.
