Inaprubahan na ng Quezon City council ang pagdedeklara sa komedyanteng si Ai-Ai Delas Alas at sa direktor na si Darryl Yap bilang persona non grata.
Ito ay dahil umano sa hindi pagrespeto sa official seal lungsod na ginamit sa isang campaign ad na tinampukan ni Ai-Ai at idinirek ni Darryl.
Sa nasabing video, makikitang nilagyan ng BBM at SARA ang magkabilang sulok ng triangular seal ng Q.C.
Tila in-empersonate rin ni Ai-Ai si Q.C. Mayor Joy Belmonte bilang si Ligaya Delmonte.
Ang nasabing campaign ad ay para sa katunggali ni Mayor Joy na si Mike Defensor.
Matatandaan na masugid na supporter ng Marcos-Duterte tandem si Ai-Ai.
Sa pahayag ni outgoing Councilor Ivy Lagman na siyang naghain ng resolusyon, hinikayat nito sina Ai-Ai at Darryl na humingi ng paumanhin sa mga mamamayan ng Quezon City.
“I am calling all the content creators, especially Mr. Darryl Yap and Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, and many others who were part of this project, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for debasing and bastardizing the beloved seal of Quezon City.
“It is a great disrespect and disregard of the laws of our land to superimpose the said seal just to campaign for a politician.
“I reiterate our call for these people, Mr. Darryl Yap, Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, Cong. Mike Defensor and his cohorts, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for [their] actions, and also promise to never do such acts again.”
