Marami ang nagulat nang ipakilala bilang isa sa mga bagong talents ng kumpanya ni James Reid si Liza Soberano.
Kaya naman sa interview sa kaniya ng entertainment website na pep.ph, idinetalye ng aktor kung paano niya napapayag si Liza na mapabilang sa kaniyang music label and talent management company — ang Careless Music.
Sa nasabing interview, hindi ikinaila ng aktor na may nararamdaman siyang pressure dahil isa nang malaking artista si Liza at marami na rin itong napatunayan sa industriya.
“Yes, of course, she’s a star, one of the most bankable stars in the country.
“But at the end of the day, I believe in her vision for what she wants to do with her career.
“That’s why I don’t feel much pressure because she has a right clear vision and I think it’s achieveable.
“I think it’s gonna bring her to the next level of her career. It’s looking bright for her.”
Si Liza ay dating nasa ilalim ng pangangalaga ng Star Magic at ni Ogie Diaz bago ito lumipat sa kumpanya ni James.
Nang tanungin si James kung paano niya niligawan o kinumbinsi ang mga talents na pumirma ng kontrata sa kanila, ipinaliwanag niya na naging ‘casual’ lamang ang lahat.
“Actually, very casual. Actually, sa lahat ng artists either we see them or we just meet them with someone who knows them and we ask them if we can sit down.
“Very casual, I don’t wanna make it seemed too serious. The conversation is usually very casual, I’d like for them to hang out with us first, be with us and see what we are about, how we work with each other.
“It’s very different from the companies I worked in the past.”
Hindi rin umano nakausap nina James ang dating manager ni Liza na si Ogie Diaz.
Aminado rin siya na hindi niya inasahan na makatranaho si Liza lalo na bilang manager nito.
“Yes, we’ve been in the same industry for so long. It’s not too many artists like us, me and Liza. We definitely appreciated everything that we’re doing.
“We were in the same league, but I never expected that things would be going what we have now until I started to manage myself.”
Sa kasalukuyan ay hindi rin umano nila prayoridad ang magkapareha sila ni Liza sa isang proyekto.
“Nothing is off the table right now, but we wanted to, of course, push for what Liza wants the most.”
“For Hope, just like me when I first left [my former management] and start managing myself, all I can say is have faith.
“I’m a true fan of Liza. Have faith on the decision that she’s making. It’s looking bright for me.”
